Apollo Design Studio, is a general practice architectural design firm headquartered in Seattle with offices across the US.

The firm is structured around an innovative cloud computing design and delivery methodology. Cloud computing enables the firm to recruit and collaborate with the best and most experienced talent in the industry from across the US and around the world. The firm is able to provide high-end residential and commercial design through an efficient and unique collaboration in all aspects of the architectural project.

“Cloud computing,” notes founder Paul Schlachter, “is breaking down geographic barriers of business. It’s no longer about where you work…it’s about who you work with no matter where you are.”

Cloud Computing Offices

Headquartered in Seattle, Apollo has cloud computing collaborative offices located in the following locations:

  • Bellevue, Washington
  • Los Angeles, California
  • Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Sacramento, California

Over the past twenty years, architect Schlachter has cultivated a technical approach to design that facilitates the thoughtful integration of fabrication and craft. His interest in fabrication and craft was refined by designing and building furniture for residential and commercial clients at a furniture company he founded.

“Architecture is about problem solving…with style and authenticity,” notes Schlachter

Growing up in a small town anchored on the Nebraska Plains, Paul Schlachter spent much of his youth drawing and building things.  He studied architecture in Nebraska as well as Regent’s College in London, England.  Soon after moving to Seattle he started a furniture design business and learned the importance of high end craftsmanship.  Paul has worked for some of the most prestigious architectural firms in the country and with clients who are titans of business and entertainment.

As a lecturer and educator, he travels around the country to speak on the topics of design at the A+D Museum in Los Angeles and at various venues in Seattle, as well as integrating art and architecture, architectural kinetics, among other topics.

Paul is a frequent juror for the Utah AIA Awards and others. He is active in the architectural community and a long-serving board member of the Seattle Architectural Foundation.

Paul lives in Seattle with his wife and two daughters.
