A snowbird couple from the midwest bought this sun-drenched retreat deep in the Borrego Desert. The house was badly in need of an update and rehabilitation after nearly thirty years of infrequent inhabitors. Windows towards the western Borrego Mountains were too short to capture their full height so taller windows were introduced. Durable porcelain tile floors were installed both on the interior and exterior where a new metal trellis shields from the overbearing sun. A new master bedroom and bathroom were created complete with cast glass windows by Seattle artist, Peter David.
