Built as an escape to the sunny side of Washington, this ranch house near Ellensburg provides a Seattle couple with their fill of blue skies and wide open landscape. Classically symetrical in plan the bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living rooms all pivot around the central over-sized rustic fireplace. Interior walls and ceilings are warm colored clear cedar while the floors are kept to a rough hewn fir that appreciate the rough cowboy boot treatment. 18′ wide stacking doors open the house to the sweeping hayfield below the house.
